Hundreds queued at the entrance to Aqualandia for the opening day of the 2012 season.

Crowds in swim wear with towels in hand could be seen along the streets on their way to the entrance of the Benidorm theme park.

No one wanted to miss out on the opening day of the water park as the entrance was free for the first one hundred children and people had started to queue in the early hours.

The water park opened at 10:00 am and by then the numbers had increased to thousands.

Young and old, families and large groups, all waiting to enjoy the many attractions such as : the  Big Bang, whose yellow slide is one of the highest in Europe, measuring 30 metres long and with a 65% vertical incline.

All of the water slides and rides were operational: the Black Hole, Pistas Blancas, Wave pool, Zig Zag, Lagoon etc, ready to offer the best entertainment and guaranteeing  fun for the summer season.
