Benidorm celebrated it first Gay Pride event last year 2011 which proved to be a great success.    The gay pride movement takes a stance against discrimination and violence towards lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people (LGBT) and stands for pride not shame and social stigma, while promoting equal rights and the right to be recognised.

This year the event will be organised by the local ALGTB in collaboration with the city of Benidorm and local gay bars and businesses.

The event will take place on the 14^th, 15^th & 16^th of September 2012 with the following programme of events, including the parade on the 15th of September .
