Manolo de la Calva and Ramón Arcusa, components of the Dúo Dinámico, relived and celebrated their youth and their past with the public in the Benidorm Palace.

The Spanish duo made history during the 1970´s starring in several films as well as composing songs for other renowned artists such as Julio Iglesias.

An emotional audience connected with the pair from the very beginning and became an indispensable part of the show.duodinamico

Performing live vocally and introducing each of their hits, the evening turned into a very special occasion.

“Resistire”  had the audience out of their seats  and taking full advantage of the atmosphere the hits kept on coming with ’15 años’, ‘Amor de verano’ and ‘Esos ojitos negros’.

Between each rendition Ramon & Manolo told anecdotes from their career as well as explaining the close ties they have with the city of Benidorm.

The pair participated on numerous occasions in the Benidorm Song Festival winning the coveted Golden Mermaid twice.   What better way to celebrate a 50 year musical career than to return to the city to which they feel indebted and that saw them triumph artistically.

Their cinema graphic achievements were also celebrated during the show, especially “Búsqueme a esa chica” in which they starred with Marisol.  Images of the film were projected behind the musicians providing the superb live music which included keyboard, saxophone and percussion.

Their talent as composers was also evident during the night with titles such as ‘Oh Carol’, ‘Mª Carmen’, Mary Lou’ &‘Lolita’.

The concert closed with another of their famous hits, Quisiera ser’  for which they received a standing ovation from the delighted crowd.
