The 4th Race to the Cross will take place on Sunday 3rd of May 2015 coinciding with the local religious celebration for the Feast of the Cross .

Organised by Grupo Brotons Eventos and the Benidorm Town Hall, the race will start from the Plaza de SS. MM. Los Reyes de España at 10:00 a.m.

This challenging 10 kilometre uphill trail run to the cross situated at the top of the Sierra Gelada Mountain and then the descent back down, has become a popular sporting event in Benidorm, although competitors rarely repeat the experience. Uphill running is very different to running on the flat and participants experience many problems with their leg muscles.

There is also a 10 kilometre walk of the same route which will start from the Plaza SS.MM Reyes de España at 09:00 a.m.

Registration fee for the race is 13€ up until the 30th of April and then 15€ up until 15 minutes before the start of the race and for the hike the fee is, 5€ up until the 30th of April and then 10€ up to 15 minutes before.
