rio_safari Río Safari is located in Elche in the province of Alicante. It is surrounded by hundred year old palm trees in an area known as the Garden of Lions. Elche is a city full of history with its palm forests and its shoe industry which is recognised world-wide. Elche has been included on the UNESCO World Heritage site twice, once for the Palm Forest and the second time for the Misteri d´Élx, a religious medieval play performed yearly in the Basilica.
